What is double cotton gauze?
Technically, it consists of 2 layers of cotton gauze (hence the name double gauze) joined together by invisible stitches at regular intervals.
Double cotton gauze is a fabric known for its extreme softness, flexibility and lightness. It is extremely comfortable and perfectly suited to the sensitive skin of our little ones. It has excellent moisture absorption and lets the body breathe. In addition, this natural material is hypoallergenic and easy to care for. After the first wash, our swaddle will take on a natural waffle appearance. No need to iron, just enjoy this incredibly pleasant texture. Why our swaddle is eco-friendly?
First of all because this swaddle is totally produced in France, and then in the choice of our raw materials.
We have chosen double cotton gauze from organic farming and certified Oeko-Tex® and GOTS in order to respect our little kokos and our planet. All operations related to the manufacture of double cotton gauze are carried out in France with respect for the environment: weaving, printing, finishing... We have chosen digital printing with Oeko-Tex® certified pigment inks in order to minimise our carbon footprint. No nickel is used, water consumption is almost non-existent and the small amount of waste is reprocessed by a specialised organisation. For the composition and brand labels, we have opted for recycled polyester. Finally, as for all our products, we minimize the packaging, which we choose to be sustainable.
Swaddles made in "ESAT"
An "ESAT" is a social services establishment offering various professional activities and medico-social support to disabled people in a protected environment, therefore promoting their access to employment. These organisations therefore enable people with disabilities to access the professional world and to have a job. It is important for us to support such initiatives by collaborating with an ESAT to make these swaddles .
